GETTING TO BORA BORA: you will depart from Los Angeles on Air Tahiti Nui Airlines and leave at 10:50 pm and arrive in Papeete, the capital of Tahiti at 5am; a little over an eight hour flight. A flight from Papeete to Bora Bora departs at 6:45am and is a 50-minute flight. 

There are about 7 flights per day from Tahiti to Bora Bora, starting at 6:45am and the last one going out at 5:10pm. Most go nonstop to Bora Bora, but a few of them stop off at another island for 15 minutes to drop off and pick up passengers.

• Shoulder Season (May, June, September and October): These months are at the start and finish of the dry season.. The weather is very comfortable – mostly clear, mild and dry – and prices have yet to peak. 

Low Season (November to mid-December, and mid-January to April): These periods are in the wet season, when rain is frequent, the  high humidity.  Hotel rates drop considerably.
